Age Limit: As per UPESSC UPTET Rules. Generally, there is no upper age limit for appearing in the TET exam, but candidates must meet the age criteria of the specific recruitment they apply for later using the TET certificate.
Total Vacancy: Eligibility Test (Qualifying Nature)
- Bachelor Degree in any stream with 50% marks and B.Ed Degree OR
- Bachelor Degree with BTC (D.El.Ed) / 2 Year Diploma OR
- 10+2 Intermediate with 50% marks and 4 Year B.El.Ed Degree.
- Final year appearing candidates in teacher training courses are also eligible.
- Bachelor Degree / Master Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed / B.Ed Special Education OR
- Bachelor Degree with BTC (D.El.Ed) Training OR
- 10+2 Intermediate with 50% marks and 4 Year B.A B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed course.
- Primary Teacher: ₹42,000 – ₹50,000 (Approx)
- Upper Primary Teacher: ₹48,000 – ₹58,000 (Approx)
*Note: Yeh salary state government ke current pay matrix aur allowances par nirbhar karti hai.
The UPTET 2026 Selection involves the following stages:
- Written Examination: Two Papers (Paper I for Primary & Paper II for Upper Primary).
- Certificate Validity: Qualified candidates will receive a life-time valid UPTET certificate.
- Final Recruitment: Candidates must clear the Super TET or Main Teacher Recruitment exam conducted by UP Govt.
